Ted Sommer has been a partner at London Witte Group since 1988. He specializes in tax-exempt financing and not-for-profit consulting. He has helped develop a practice that provides all aspects of financial advisory services to his clients. His major clients include the State of Indiana, universities, the United States Postal Service and a number of municipalities. His recent activities include authoring and overseeing the privatization of State of Indiana energy equipment conversions, the acquisition of transportation of Natural Gas for all qualifying State agencies, and the transfer of water operations from State Facilities to the private sector. He has also provided analyses to the United States Postal Service on the feasibility of external energy saving programs.
Ted earned his B.S. and M.B.A degrees from the University of Missouri. He worked for the Public Service Commission of Missouri from 1979 through 1983. In 1983 he moved his family to Indiana when he assumed the position of Director of Technical Staff for the Indiana Office of Utility Consumer Counselor.
He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed to practice in Indiana and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Indiana Association of Certified Public Accountants and the Government Finance Officers Association.
